We Have Moved & We Are Open…Fish and Plant Update!
In case you didn’t get the memo, The Pond Clinic retail store has moved to Carp! Our new address is 2710 March Road. It’s only a 12 minute drive from our former location in Bells Corners, which has been completely closed as of the end of October 2014. Our new hours are Monday – Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Please note that we may close early on days when we are hosting events. Please consult our website for more details.
If you missed last month’s announcement, here it is again.
From our former location, there are several ways to get to Aquatopia Conservatory – The Pond Clinic’s new home, depending if you want the most direct route (take HWY417 to exit 155, turn right onto March Road, see us on the right); the scenic route (take HWY 417 & take the March Road exit in Kanata, follow it all the way to us on the left side) or the part highway/part scenic route, (take HWY417 to Carp Road exit, stay right, continue on Carp Road until the second traffic light. Turn left onto March Road and we are on the left side, across from the Shell gas station). Either way, I hope you’ll agree it’s well worth the drive!
FISH SALES: We have received our first batch of fish, and they are currently under quarantine, as a routine precautionary measure. Please consult our website’s ‘Fish in Stock’ page, under ‘Retail Store’ for up-to-date fish availability and pricing. It is still too cold to release these fish for sale, but as soon as the weather warms up enough that you needn’t spend all day acclimating the new fish to your pond, The Pond Clinic will send out a special, once-per-year bulletin to our newsletter subscribers! Traditionally, we begin to sell fish during the first full week of May.
PLANT SALES: We traditionally receive our first order of aquatic plants in early May, beginning with lilies, submerged oxygenators and hardy marginals. Later in May, towards the Victoria Day long weekend, we bring in our tropicals and floating plants (hyacinths & lettuce). If you’re coming from a distance, it’s best to call ahead to make sure our plants have arrived!
